I've just got a new printer!

From a young age, I have been fascinated by 3D printing.
The technology that turns a roll of plastic into anything that you can model it to be.

I could never afford a printer when I was young but would always be watching youtubers like MakersMuse and CNC Kitchen learning everything there is about it.

Once I started working, one of the first things I bought was a 3D printer. At the time, there was only really one option, the almighty Creality Ender 3.

The Ender 3 was the ultimate novice printer. I was in love with it... for all of about two weeks before love, turned to hate...
Why? Well, it was an Ender 3. They are not great unless modded and I simply didn't have the money to improve it.
I sold the printer after months of sitting idle and thought I would be done with printing.

In 2024, my partner's brother had just got an A1 mini by Bambu Lab and was going to throw away his Ender 3 v2. I took it home for free! After a deep clean, it was superb. Colour display, CR-Touch, Metal Extruder, Quieter Steppers.

So I started printing again. Properly this time. Making all sorts of trinkets but due to its slow speed, I was still limited.
I added a few more bits such as octoprint for remote printing but ultimately it was still an Ender 3 v2 and was holding me back.

This is no longer the case thanks to my new friend, the Bambu Lab P1S.
This printer brought back the love for the technology from when I was a child. The operation and setup was nothing like my previous printers. I downloaded the Bambu Handy app, affectionately named the printer "Ender 3" and printed a benchy.

Printed perfection in only 20 minutes.

Armed with a roll of Orange Elegoo PETG, I needed to make it mine. Using the amazing designs on makerworld (linked below), I have a lovely dripping printer!

Now is it the best printer ever? Of course not.
Does it have AMS? Nope.
Is it mine? Yes.
